Travel Memories Photo Book

After returning from a Wildlife Safari trip to Tanzania, Africa in 2023, I wanted to make a photo book of the experience. I looked at several different brands and decided to use Shutterfly. The most impressive feature, and why I chose Shutterfly, is how many options are available including type and ...size of book, formats within the book, background colors and patterns, and fonts. The program has many helpful suggestions for formatting photos and alerts the user if a font isn't appropriate to be used in the format. I did have a problem uploading my photos from Google Photos which is were I store them. I tried several times and Shutterfly would only upload a few of my many photos. There was a suggestion in trouble-shooting to download the photos to my computer and then upload to Shutterfly. I did that and successfully uploaded all my photos to Shutterfly. The photo section allows you to "hide" any photos already used so you don't accidentally reuse them. There is a Preview with Full Screen view that gives you an excellent idea of how your finished product will appear. I formatted many photos to "bleed" across the midline of the book for dramatic effect. To be sure these photos were viewable after printing, I selected the lay-flat printing option and am very pleased with the results. Rather than have a single picture as the book cover, I was able to create a collage featuring the Big 5 Animals of the Serengeti (lion, cape buffalo, leopard, elephant, and rhino). To the collage, I added an overlay shape of the African Continent and identified Tanzania with a star, then I added the book title. All the tools I needed to create this cover were in Shutterfly. The back book cover is a favorite photo along with the others I've chosen to include with this review. I will definitely use Shutterfly for any future photo books, because it is easy and intuitive to use, the price is reasonable, and I love the options it offers to create a memorable keepsake.
