Colorful Memories was perfect for my 70's Themed Birthday
I used Colorful Memories by Britt Bass for my 70's themed 79th birthday party book. It lent itself nicely to adding watercolor pages to off set the bolder pages to give the book a bit of balance. I find it very frustrating working with the new format and would never, ever choose to use it if there w...as another option, so I was SO HAPPY to be able to create this most special book with the Classic format. I do think Shutterfly book 'look' options (Baby, Holiday, Vacation, Specific Year for example) are great and I am very happy with the printing and customer service (except for how difficult it is to contact anyone). My family loves all of my books, and I have created many, but everyone says this is their favorite, by far.

Disappointing Quality - Not What It Used to Be
I've been a loyal Shutterfly customer for years, ordering dozens of photo books without issue—until now. I'm extremely disappointed with the quality of the photo book I received this time around. It's clear that something has changed, and not for the better.
First, the photos themselves were a hug...e letdown. I've always been impressed by how vibrant and crisp Shutterfly's prints used to be, but this time the colors are noticeably muted and the images lack the sharpness they once had. The photos just don't pop like they used to, and it's a huge difference from what I'm used to receiving.
To make matters worse, the book arrived with a warped cover and backing. The book doesn't close properly leaving a noticeable gap between the cover and pages, and it's not just a minor issue—it's noticeable to the point where it doesn't even lie flat on the table. This really detracts from the overall appearance of the book. I've never had a problem with the physical condition of my Shutterfly books before, so this was a major letdown.
I don't know if there's been a change in materials or production standards, but whatever the case, this was not the quality I've come to expect from Shutterfly. Given how many photo books I've ordered in the past, this was a real disappointment, and I'm not sure I can keep recommending them if this is the new standard. I sincerely hope Shutterfly takes this feedback to heart and works to restore the high quality they've built their reputation on.

I made this book with assistance of Shutterfly design services. I will make one book a year for my granddaughter to share memories each year of us together. One photo that was blurry but I would have changed out and one extra blank page at the end that should have been deleted.

Easy to design, even on your phone. Wife loved it for Christmas gift. The preset designs were attractive and easy to customize. It was very easy to upload photos and crop and adjust them as needed.
